Sand Box Fill 2014 a Success
Sand Box Fill 2014 a Success!
Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, May 12, 2014 – The Lake Geneva Jaycees, a constructive action organization of young persons who devote a portion of their time to community service in the public interest is giving back to the community their annual sandbox fill.
The purpose of the Lake Geneva Jaycees is to become a force for good in the community, determining community needs and providing solutions by planning and facilitating community service projects. In the act of serving, members receive hands-on experience, which translates to the enhancement of personal growth and the development of valuable leadership skills. Since its inception the Lake Geneva Jaycees have worked hard to help give back to our community. With the creation of the Jaycee Venetian Festival on Geneva Lake in 1962, the Lake Geneva Jaycee have been able to raise funds to provide for a variety of community related projects and programs designed to help our neighbors and residents! For a complete list of the many donations your local Lake Geneva Jaycees make throughout the year please visit https://www.lakegenevajaycees.org.
This year sandboxes were filled throughout Walworth County including the communities of Lake Geneva, Pell Lake, Genoa City, and the Elkhorn. Area residents were able to contact the Jaycee’s and schedule their sandbox to be filled on Saturday, May 10th. The sandbox fill has been a Jaycee tradition for more than 50 years for area families to take in part in.
A special thanks to Otto Jacobs for supplying the sand and Stahulak concrete for the use of the dump truck.
